Mark Johnson & Julia Scoggins

J&S Restaurants began in 1989, but our involvement with Hardee’s Food Systems dates back to 1965.

Our father, George R. Johnson became interested in the young restaurant company and purchased franchise rights to several counties in the Chattanooga, Cleveland and Athens areas. He opened his first Hardee’s on White Street in Athens, Tennessee and later opened his first Cleveland location on Keith Street in 1967. From there, the company grew to over forty locations now in Tennessee and Georgia.

Our father passed away in 1996 and today we are carrying on the tradition of serving Made from Scratch  biscuits, and now Thickburgers, to folks all over the Tennessee Valley.
